He has an impeccable reputation and is a highly decorated veteran who protected our embassies and troops. He received several defense meritorious service awards including one for saving the lives of sailors injured when their Navy vessel was attacked. Matt was a key member of the team that crafted the Department of Homeland Security and was referred to be the Secretary of the Army.
